  • Part-Time AI Trainer (copilot studio and/or power automate)

Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Training Consultant with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or both to support a targeted training and consulting initiative.

This is not traditional end-user software training. The consultant will work with small groups of advanced users and internal champions who are expected to develop practical AI and automation capabilities within their organization.

The ideal consultant combines technical platform expertise, training/facilitation skills, requirements discovery, and real-world implementation experience. The consultant should be comfortable engaging business users, uncovering practical use cases, developing customized materials, and delivering interactive remote workshops.

The engagement will be part time and spread across several weeks or months. Work may include requirements/discovery sessions, independent content preparation, and scheduled training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in discovery and requirements sessions with advanced users and stakeholders

  • Understand business objectives and identify relevant AI, agent, and automation use cases

  • Translate technical concepts into practical examples for business-focused audiences

  • Develop customized training materials based on identified organizational needs

  • Create presentation, demonstration, recording, or video content as appropriate

  • Facilitate interactive remote training and workshop sessions

  • Incorporate practical examples and hands-on exercises rather than relying exclusively on presentation-based instruction

  • Help build internal capability so advanced users can apply the platforms independently

Copilot Studio Focus

Consultants supporting the Copilot Studio portion should be able to educate advanced users on topics including:

  • Copilot Studio architecture and concepts

  • Building and configuring agents

  • Agent structure and design

  • Triggers and integrations

  • Deployment and management of agents

  • Scaling agent usage across organizational functions

  • Identifying appropriate business applications for AI agents

  • Hands-on agent development

The desired approach combines a foundational platform overview with hands-on agent-building workshops.

Power Automate Focus

Consultants supporting Power Automate should bring a blend of Power Automate expertise and business/process analysis skills.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Facilitating process-discovery conversations with business stakeholders

  • Assessing manual workflows and business processes

  • Identifying appropriate automation opportunities

  • Translating business requirements into potential Power Automate solutions

  • Educating a small group of internal automation specialists

  • Demonstrating practical workflow and automation scenarios

  • Helping participants develop the skills necessary to support future business automation needs

Ideal Background

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and/or Power Automate

  • Previous experience implementing AI agents, workflow automation, or Power Platform solutions

  • Experience delivering technical training, workshops, enablement, or consulting

  • Strong discovery and requirements-gathering skills

  • Ability to facilitate discussions with business stakeholders and advanced users

  • Experience identifying practical business use cases for AI or automation

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-developer audiences

  • Strong presentation and virtual facilitation skills

  • Comfortable developing customized training content and demonstrations

  • Ability to work independently on a flexible, part-time consulting schedule

Engagement Structure

The work is expected to include:

  1. Discovery / Requirements - Meet with stakeholders or advanced-user groups to understand needs and potential use cases.

  2. Content Development - Create customized workshop materials and practical demonstrations.

  3. Training / Workshops - Deliver approximately 1-3 remote sessions, depending on the subject area and requirements.

  4. Hands-On Application - Help participants apply concepts to realistic business scenarios.

A consultant specializing in either Copilot Studio or Power Automate may be considered. Candidates capable of covering both platforms would be particularly relevant for the broader engagement.
