Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a TigerGraph Database Administrator (DBA) - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.

This role is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of TigerGraph (NoSQL) environments across development, test, and production platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance optimization, and security compliance for enterprise graph database systems, enabling advanced analytics and real-time data processing. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain TigerGraph database environments, including provisioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute patching activities across all environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD, DR)
  • Automate operational processes using scripting languages such as Shell or Python
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
  • Provide production support, including incident management and root cause analysis
  • Implement and enforce security controls such as access management, encryption, and compliance standards
  • Support application teams in query tuning, schema design, and data modeling
  • Maintain high availability configurations and ensure system resilience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application, infrastructure, security, and data engineering

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with TigerGraph or other NoSQL databases (e.g., Neo4j, SQL Server)
  • Strong hands-on experience with TigerGraph platform administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
  • Experience supporting production environments during and after patching, with knowledge of vulnerability remediation and audit requirements
  • Proficiency with GSQL query language and performance tuning
  • Understanding of graph data modeling (vertices, edges, relationships)
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages for task automation
  • Experience with performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning techniques
  • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning
  • Familiarity with TigerGraph GraphStudio and ecosystem tools
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills

Desired skills:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience implementing role-based access controls (RBAC)
  • Ability to manage large-scale distributed graph workloads
  • Exposure to financial services or other regulated environments
  • Ownership mindset with a focus on reliability and service quality

Pay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hour
