Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer / Lead to join our engineering team for a full-time position based in Addison, TX. .

Position Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer / Lead, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical and FPGA systems, covering the entire lifecycle from concept and detailed design to manufacturing release for both prototype and production units.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed electrical design work, including analog, digital, and FPGA design, schematic capture, PCB layout, testing & verification, and manufacturing release.
  • Lead design validation and testing, including highly accelerated life testing (HALT), environmental qualification testing (DO-160G), and others.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including HALT summaries, test procedures, qualification test reports, etc.
  • Take an electrical lead on specific projects, ensuring designs meet customer and functional requirements while following department processes and standards.
  • Research and implement engineering design changes for improvements in manufacturability and robustness in collaboration with the sustaining engineering team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and apply functional and technical specifications, datasheets, hardware manuals, etc., to electrical designs.
  • Strong coordination skills to work with Mechanical and Systems Engineers within the department to deliver multidisciplinary design solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and produce designs to specified deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • 3-10 years of experience in electrical and FPGA design.
  • Experience with microprocessor and/or DSP-based designs.
  • Familiarity with network/Ethernet design.
  • Proficiency with hardware diagnostic tools, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with OrCAD Capture/Allegro PCB Designer or similar tools (required for this role).
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience (Xilinx FPGAs and toolsets will be used).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with embedded software design (C, Assembly, etc.).
  • Preferred: Experience with RTCA DO-160G.
