Summary

Role: Mainframe Engineer

Location : Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Raleigh

Position requires expertise in mainframe engineering with following:

1) Truist-specific knowledge, process, and skills with ability to work directly with business partners

2) Mainframe Operating Systems: z/OS with understanding of Job Entry Subsystems, Workload Manager, etc.

3) Core Mainframe Languages: COBOL, Assembler, Java on z/OS, Python

4) Transaction & Data Processing: CICS, IMS, understanding of online & batch processing

5) Databases & Data Access: DB2 for z/OS, IMS DB, VSAM, SQL

6) Job Control & Automation: JCL & Job Schedulers

7) Mainframe Tools & Utilities: Changeman

8) Mainframe Operations, System Interactions, security protocols, troubleshooting, problem/ticket resolution

9) Efforts to include analysis, design, coding/creating/development, testing and delivery of highly complex solutions

10) Agile lifecycle development/delivery experience, specifically scrum team experience.
