Summary

HGA is seeking a Structural Engineer to support operations in The Woodlands, TX. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering design, analysis, and project support across multi-discipline engineering projects. The Structural Engineer works closely with clients, project teams, and field personnel to ensure engineering solutions meet technical, safety, and quality standards while supporting overall project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to understand and anticipate evolving requirements.
  • Assess client needs and propose tailored engineering solutions and technical recommendations.
  • Perform structural engineering design and analysis, including calculations and preparation of design drawings for foundations, steel structures, and related civil and structural components.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts to ensure technical accuracy, scope alignment, and consistency across project teams.
  • Support field engineering activities as required, including site assessments, construction support, and verification of completed structural work.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration by examination is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer
  • Knowledge of engineering design principles and governing codes/standards, with demonstrated ability to produce structural calculations for civil/structural projects (steel and foundations).
Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage engineering projects involving multi-discipline coordination.
  • Experience within Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Energy industries.
  • Strong communication, client-relationship, and team-leadership capabilities.
