Overview

We are seeking experienced SAP Access Analysts to support enterprise-wide SAP user access management. This role is highly collaborative and requires hands-on SAP security administration experience, strong end-user communication skills, and familiarity with ISO-aligned access governance standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working onsite in a structured enterprise environment and enjoys balancing technical SAP security work with direct stakeholder interaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Support & Access Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP access-related issues.

• Identify root causes such as incorrect role assignments, expired credentials, or policy violations.

• Restore secure access promptly to minimize business disruption.

• Document incident handling activities for audit and compliance purposes.

• Apply knowledge of SAP roles (Parent, Derived, Business Roles), SAP GRC Access Control 12.0, and the SAP user access lifecycle.

• Leverage understanding of SAP business processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) to validate appropriate access.

2. Service Request Processing & Continuous Improvement

• Receive, analyze, and fulfill SAP access requests from business users.

• Determine appropriate SAP roles while ensuring least-privilege and RBAC principles.

• Submit and manage access requests through SAP GRC workflows.

• Track and follow up on requests to ensure timely completion.

• Identify opportunities for automation, workflow enhancements, and process improvements to reduce manual effort.

• Improve turnaround times and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

3. SAP Access Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

• Process SAP access requests submitted via ServiceNow (or similar ITSM platform).

• Meet with end users to understand job functions and determine proper access levels.

• Provision, modify, and revoke SAP access in alignment with internal security policies and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

• Act as liaison between business users, IT teams, and security stakeholders.

• Maintain documentation for roles, provisioning decisions, and access governance procedures.

• Support internal and external audits related to access controls and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on SAP access administration experience in an enterprise environment.

• Strong understanding of SAP security concepts and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control (preferably 12.0).

• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing tools.

• Strong communication skills with ability to translate business needs into technical access decisions.

• Ability to manage multiple access requests with accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ISO-aligned environments or audits.

• Familiarity with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or related SAP modules.

• Prior experience in a customer-facing IT or security support role.

Additional Information

This role requires onsite presence in Lisle, IL four days per week.
