Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation using Java and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in test automation framework development, Agile methodologies, and defect lifecycle management using Jira. Prior exposure to the Financial Services domain is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (Java & JavaScript).

Develop automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.

Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration test suites.

Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and test case reviews.

Track, report, and manage defects using Jira.

Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.

Ensure test coverage for complex financial workflows and compliance-sensitive systems.

Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, automation scripts, and execution results.

Support UAT and production validation activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in QA Automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using Java and JavaScript.

Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/TestNG/JUnit – preferred).

Experience in REST API testing (Postman/REST Assured).

Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Hands-on experience with Jira for test management and defect tracking.

Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Financial Services domain (Banking, Payments, Capital Markets, Insurance).

Understanding of financial transactions, compliance, and data security standards.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus.

Experience with SQL for backend validation.
