Genesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for an Onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Farmers Branch, TX; or Phoenix, AZ. This is a 35+ month contract opportunity. This role is for an Automation Engineer within the Provisioning Group, responsible for infrastructure provisioning automation for both on-premise and cloud environments. The successful candidate will create and maintain new automation for server provisioning using Infrastructure as Code principles, enabling internal teams to reduce their time to market. This position will collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and other staff to meet project objectives within an agile environment.
Responsibilities: - Leverage technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain infrastructure technology solutions
- Develop software components and hardware for projects, aligning them with business strategies and objectives
- Participate in daily stand-ups, work on JIRA tasks/stories, and collaborate in working sessions to develop solutions
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made
- Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems
Requirements: - 3-6 years of experience in an infrastructure or automation role
- Experience with Ansible
- Strong ability to identify, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
- Strong knowledge of networking computer hardware and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively
Desired skills: - Experience with Windows or Linux environments
- Knowledge of scripting with Python or PowerShell
- Experience with Terraform
- A critical thinker who is self-motivated and a team player
Pay range: $36.47 - $44.47 per hour
