Position Title: Electrical Superintendent
Location: Onsite in Austin, TX
Duration:
6+ Month Contract (Strong potential for extension)
Work Schedule
Monday Friday: 5 x 12-hour shifts
Saturday: 8+ hours as required
Typical workweek ranges from 60 68+ hours
Scope / What's Driving the Need:
Client is expanding its construction and infrastructure projects and is actively seeking experienced Electrical Superintendents to oversee electrical construction activities on large-scale industrial projects. As project demands continue to grow, the team is building a pipeline of qualified field leadership capable of managing electrical installations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management and experience leading field crews in fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environments wiring, cabling, install, etc.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day electrical construction activities on large-scale industrial projects.
- Supervise electrical foremen, journeyman electricians, and subcontractor crews.
- Coordinate field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field issues impacting schedule or quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, electrical codes, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and other trades to maintain project execution.
- Conduct field inspections and verify workmanship meets Tesla quality standards.
- Manage manpower planning, scheduling, and daily work assignments.
- Support project reporting, documentation, and progress updates.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on the job site.
Necessary Skills:
Required Qualifications
- Experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial, industrial, or manufacturing construction projects.
- Strong leadership experience managing large electrical field crews.
- Thorough understanding of electrical construction methods, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple trades and project stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, manpower, and field productivity.
- Comfortable working extended overtime schedules in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, automotive, or mission-critical construction projects.
- Previous experience supporting Tesla or other major EPC contractors is a plus.
- Background leading fast-track construction projects.
