Salary within the posted range is determined based on an individual's experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications, and may be further adjusted based on benefit selections.
Job Description:
Perform Network Engineering tasks and functions.
Develop, plan, and implement scalable network solutions, new network layouts, and upgrades.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, and security protocols to protect data.
Resolve network issues.
Monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and improve visibility through metrics and alerting.
Create and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficient with Linux.
- Linux system administration experience is a plus.
- CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Security+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Should have working knowledge, able to use and or support, with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools.
- Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Dell and HPE Linux servers
- Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
- Ansible
- Nutanix - VM management
- Rubrik - data storage
- Nomad containers
- SALT scripts
- LibreNMS
- NetBox
Education Requirements: Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer (within the last 3 years)
