Our Screen Modernization team is on an exciting journey to modernize our legacy iSeries Green Screen application into a high-performing, modern web-based platform. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will play a critical role in redefining how our users interact with our applications, improving workflow and performance. You will design, build, and deploy robust web interfaces and services using a cutting-edge tech stack, including Java, Spring, React JS, and TypeScript. By applying modern software engineering principles, Agile Scrum methodologies, and robust testing and monitoring practices, you will help deliver modern, reliable, and user-centric pharmacy benefit solutions that directly impact our members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy modern web-based applications, transitioning legacy iSeries Green Screen workflows into efficient, user-friendly solutions
  • Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment to deliver high-quality, reusable code using Java, Spring, React JS, and TypeScript
  • Utilize database and SQL experience to write efficient queries and manage data persistence
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline software development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (using Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub) to ensure rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery
  • Conduct performance and load testing using Jmeter to ensure application scalability, stability, and high performance
  • Implement proactive application monitoring and logging solutions using Splunk and Dynatrace to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues
  • Evaluate emerging technology trends to inform solution design, optimize application performance, and drive strategic system innovation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR 6+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing applications with Java and the Spring framework
  • 2+ years of experience with front-end technologies, specifically React JS and TypeScript
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience modernizing legacy enterprise systems (e.g., iSeries, AS400, or green screen applications) into modern web-based architectures
  • Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter
  • Hands-on experience with application performance monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk and Dynatrace
  • Experience utilizing approved AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, and automation tasks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and driving continuous delivery improvements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
