Summary

The Cloud Security Engineer will design and implement security controls to protect workloads and data within cloud environments. This role supports SOC monitoring by ensuring cloud infrastructure is properly secured, monitored, and integrated with enterprise security platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Secure infrastructure deployed in AWS and Azure GovCloud environments.
Implement cloud security controls aligned with federal compliance requirements.
Deploy and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.
Conduct cloud security configuration reviews and hardening.
Implement identity and access security best practices.
Integrate cloud security telemetry into SOC monitoring platforms.
Implement vulnerability management processes using tools such as Wiz and Qualys.
Support incident response investigations involving cloud environments.

Required Technical Skills

Cloud security architecture
AWS and Azure security controls
Cloud identity and access management
Cloud logging and monitoring
Vulnerability management
Infrastructure security hardening

Certifications

AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer
Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)

Experience

8+ years of cybersecurity experience
Experience securing cloud environments in enterprise or government systems
