Job Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Snowflake & Snowflake Cortex Developer to build, optimize, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake's cloud data platform and AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data engineering skills, hands-on Snowflake development experience, and practical knowledge of Snowflake Cortex for building AI-powered data applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models, SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Develop AI-powered solutions using Snowflake Cortex LLM functions and AI capabilities.
• Implement Cortex Search and Cortex Analyst for enterprise search and natural-language data analytics, where applicable.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformation workflows.
• Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and compute costs.
• Implement data security, governance, and access controls.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data processing issues and ensure data quality and reliability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake development.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
• Practical experience with Snowflake Cortex and its AI/LLM capabilities.
• Experience with Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, or Cortex AI functions.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
• Experience with Python and Snowpark is preferred.
• Understanding of RBAC, data security, and Snowflake performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building generative AI or RAG-based applications.
• Familiarity with vector embeddings and semantic search.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with external applications and APIs.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and cloud data platforms.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on Snowflake developer with strong SQL and data engineering expertise who has practical experience using Snowflake Cortex to build AI-enabled data solutions and enterprise analytics applications.
