RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a leading technology organization in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong SolidWorks 3D modeling experience to support the design and documentation of complex mechanical assemblies. This role is highly execution-focused and centers on detailed CAD work, configuration management, and maintaining accurate engineering documentation within enterprise PLM systems.
What You'll Do:
* Create and modify detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks for complex mechanical systems
* Develop and maintain engineering drawings, assemblies, and configurations aligned with established design standards
* Manage CAD data within PLM/PDM systems, ensuring version control, accuracy, and data integrity
* Collaborate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineers to support ongoing design iterations
* Support design updates, revisions, and documentation throughout the full product lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including advanced 3D modeling and assemblies
* Experience working on complex mechanical assemblies with multi-part designs and tight tolerances
* Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Windchill, OnePDM, or similar tools)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured design and release processes
* Comfortable working in a highly technical, R&D-focused environment
* Experience supporting advanced R&D, hardware, or lab-based environments
* Familiarity with configuration management and engineering release processes
* Background working in cross-functional engineering teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
