Job Title: Data Center Network Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and proactive Data Center Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) to join our client's dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will initially focus on managing and supporting standalone data center environments based on standard three-tier architectures. As you grow in your expertise, you will play a vital role in their migration initiatives toward advanced VXLAN fabric architectures. While experience with Cisco ACI is not mandatory, familiarity with it will be considered a valuable asset. We highly value candidates with hands-on automation experience that goes beyond theoretical knowledge, emphasizing real-world implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Support standalone data center environments utilizing standard three-tier architectures.
- Lead and participate in migration projects transitioning traditional data centers to VXLAN fabric architectures, ensuring smooth and seamless integrations.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Python, and Jenkins Pipeline to optimize network operations.
- Maintain and operate Cisco Nexus platforms (series 5000, 6000, 7000, 9000) and NX-OS environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and best practices related to network automation, configuration, and operations.
- Demonstrate leadership by taking ownership of tasks, offering innovative solutions, and driving project success with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms (5000, 6000, 7000, 9000 series) and NX-OS.
- Deep understanding of VXLAN technology and its deployment in data center environments.
- Proven automation expertise using Ansible and Python, with practical project-based application.
- Familiarity with Jenkins Pipeline and version control tools like GitHub.
- Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of network testing tools such as Spirent and Ixia is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and leadership qualities.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $55.00 Hourly
