Position Overview

The ideal candidate brings deep Epic Cadence expertise, strong healthcare domain knowledge, and the ability to translate technical solutions into meaningful business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior subject-matter expert supporting Epic Cadence and related access/scheduling workflows.
  • Partner closely with clinical, operational, and business leaders to optimize system performance and utilization.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to evaluate and implement technology solutions.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement through application enhancements and configuration changes.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership on large-scale enhancements, integrations, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, enterprise-level application solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on system capabilities, implementation approaches, risks, costs, and benefits.
  • Support project planning and execution, including scope definition, documentation, testing, and go-live readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across multiple systems and workflows.
  • Contribute to long-term application strategy by researching emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate s degree required; Bachelor s degree preferred.
  • Active Epic Cadence and Epic Referrals certifications (required).
  • 3 5+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications in a clinical or operational setting.
  • Strong experience with scheduling, referrals, access, and patient flow workflows.
  • Proven experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of project management concepts and cross-functional delivery models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic MyChart and/or Decision Tree certifications.
  • Experience with business process improvement or re-engineering initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
