Summary
ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Technical Program Manager III with a Pharmaceutical company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in CA. This is a remote position.

This role involves the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex hardware programs that require cross-functional collaboration. Summary:
This role involves the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex hardware programs that require cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will manage programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, driving deliverables from engineering design to mass production timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget
- Manage a group of internal employees and contractors to deliver systems and systems enhancements that meet specified requirements
- Manage communication within and between internal cross functional and external partners
- Coordinate and drive engineering design deliverables including specifications, DOE, and validation plans
- Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
- Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership
- Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints
- Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics
- Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation and characterization processes
- Experience with program top issue tracking
- Experience operating across multiple teams and programs
- Proven people management and team building skills
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
Desired skills:
- Project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, implementation planning in large organizations
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
- Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail
