Azure Cloud Engineer Jr

Role Description:
The Cloud Engineer will possess strong knowledge and experience leveraging Cloud platforms and technologies such as Azure. The Cloud Engineer will also possess experience designing, developing, and implementing multi-hybrid cloud using automation tools and technologies. The Cloud Engineer will be part of the Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) team providing solutions for complex mission critical systems providing tiers 2 and 3 support. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Azure cloud service. The Cloud Engineer role will also possess experience performing requirements gathering and analysis; will provide consultative solutions to customers; and solution well-architected frameworks in Azure.

Position requires:

• Develop infrastructure deployment templates following established patterns and best practices
• Implement and validate resource backup configurations
• Apply and maintain proper resource tagging standards
• Deploy infrastructure builds as new solutions are implemented
• Support decommissioning of resources in accordance with program procedures
• Create and manage subnets to support infrastructure build deployments
• Perform ExpressRoute backfill activities as required
• Complete post-deployment configuration and backfill tasks
• Provide networking support for PPF (firewall) deployments
• Perform image patching and maintenance
• Execute OS patching, including security updates and compliance remediation

Level of Experience & Preferred Education:

• 3 years of relevant professional experience, or more
• Bachelor's degree, or higher

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with cloud integration with OEM APIs
• Experience with cloud native security tools and security compliance 
• Experience leading technical teams of three or more individuals
• Experience with ServiceNow 
• Experience with IT service management best practices
• Experience with API integration with ServiceNow Event Management
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Expert

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

Other skill/requirement:

• Candidate must be able to obtain a current US Federal Public Trust clearance (or higher)
