Job Title - Senior Python FullStack Developer
Work Location -McLean, VA
Duration - Long Term Contract
Interview Type - MS Teams Video Interview
Must Have Qualifications: Candidates must have 12+ years of relevant development experience with strong hands-on experience in Python and PySpark. Candidates should have experience with Legacy code and solid exposure to modernizing projects.
Responsibilities include the following.
• Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes
• Identify and deliver innovative and automation solutions in the areas of data engineering including technology implementations using Agile construct
• While implementing technical solutions using modern cloud solutions support residual legacy applications
• Understand business and establish strong partnership with stakeholders including Product Owners and Scrum Masters
• Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting edge solutions
• Utilize expertise in models that leverage the newest data sources, technologies, and tools, such as Python, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, as well as other cutting-edge tools and applications for Big Data
• Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements
• Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes and come up with solutions to address defects
• Provide production support and providing clear communication on the resolution of incidents
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
• 12+ years of experience in delivering solutions using Software Development Life Cycle
• 12+ years’ experience in delivering Data Engineering solutions using Python, PySpark and AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Data lake, Delta Lake)
• 3+ years’ experience working with complex SQL queries and Unix environment
• Ability to lead a team of junior developers
