Summary

Audio Visual Technician

Introduction

An Audio Visual Technician is responsible for maintaining audiovisual equipment and supplies, operating and maintaining audiovisual equipment, and overseeing equipment transactions in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment and supplies
  • Operate and maintain audiovisual equipment, including lights, sets, staging, television cameras, slide projectors, and recording/editing machines
  • Manage check-in and check-out transactions in the Production Equipment Room
  • Oversee student workers assisting in equipment transactions
  • Assist students and faculty with audiovisual technology
  • Work with Field Production Services Manager to improve processes and procedures

Requirements

Required Skills: Audiovisual knowledge, equipment management skills, media technology proficiency

Preferred Skills: Experience in production environments, familiarity with various audiovisual technologies, strong communication and problem-solving abilities
