Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives and ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities, cloud security, and regulatory compliance. Interviews will be conducted virtually and in person.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives.
  • Convey project risks and strategies to senior management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and regulations, providing regular compliance reports.
  • Oversee the integration of physical security measures with cybersecurity protocols for comprehensive protection.
  • Coordinate resources and manage project progress, addressing issues and risks for successful delivery.
  • Develop and implement secure communication protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Oversee the operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring it is equipped with the latest tools and technologies.
  • Communicate critical security risks, strategies, and incident statuses to executive leadership.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports with insights on compliance effectiveness and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks for security operations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects and initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Design and execute advanced threat detection and incident response protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
  • Strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities across multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#).
  • Experience leveraging Python, Java, or PowerShell to develop security automation and streamline vulnerability management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions and architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their security features.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Airline industry experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $55-$60/hr
