Mechanical Superintendent
Charlotte, NC and/or Columbia, SC
Fulltime/Permanent Hire
Reason for Position(s):
· New projects being awarded, need for role has grown (there is 2 superintendent positions open)
Must Have Requirements:
- 3 in 10 job tenure. No exceptions.
- Please note reasons for leaving all roles.
- Experience managing foreman, managing/overseeing budgets of the projects, building labor plans, material takeoffs, meeting with inspectors, GCs, walking jobs daily.
- MUST be ok with some travel around the Charlotte metro and Columbia, SC. Long term this person would be spending time in both areas, especially Charlotte.
Nice to Haves:
- Multifamily experience; running high rise work (sheet metal, piping, startups, line sets, etc.)
- Must be large scale, high rise work much like PDI. No 2-4 story small hotels or townhomes.
Recruiting Challenges:
- Tenure has been an issue. Many companies that do similar work to us have had layoffs or leadership changes thus causing poor tenure.
Interview Process:
· Phone screen
· Virtual Interview with hiring team
· Evaluation process, QC’ing mock up units + final interviews onsite in-person
PDI Requirements:
· Tenure
o For office and leadership roles, no more than 3 jobs in 10 years (or since graduating), include reasons for moving
o For other roles, no more than 4 jobs in the last 10 years
· Location
o For office/desk-based roles, based at HQ (GRID) in Saint Petersburg, FL
§ Monday – Thursday, optional remote Friday, PDI provides home office setup equipment
§ If non-local, confirm relocation status and if assistance is required
o For LFG roles, based at our warehouse and distribution center (LINK) in Palmetto, FL
o For field roles, local to the job site(s)
· Work Authorization status
o Confirm if sponsorship is required now or anytime in the future
