Job Description:

Value Technology is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Technical Test Manager who can lead testing initiatives in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) domain. This role is a mix of leadership, strategy, and technical execution - ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems while guiding a team.

Department Overview:

Residing within Enterprise Protect organization, the AML Technology team is responsible for the delivery and support of technology solutions for the Financial Crimes Risk management (FCRM) business unit. Given the ongoing pace of regulatory change and ongoing importance of risk management, this is a fastgrowing area within the bank translating into considerable demand and growth opportunities within the technology team

Here's some of what you will be asked to perform

• Responsible for end‑to‑end test management with strong technical depth, especially in complex systems such as data platforms, integrations, cloud, APIs, automation frameworks, and DevOps pipelines.
• Take complete ownership of test planning and strategy for AML applications and workflows
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand AML scenarios like transaction monitoring, alerts, and case management
• Prepare effort estimations based on scope, complexity, and timelines
• Design and implement end-to-end test strategies (functional, regression, integration, UAT support)
• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers, team leads, ensuring quality deliverables within deadlines
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and data teams to ensure accurate validation of AML rules and data
• Drive test automation initiatives (preferably using Selenium or similar tools)
• Identify risks early and provide mitigation strategies
• Ensure proper test documentation including test plans, test cases, and execution reports
• Track defects, manage priorities, and ensure closure with high quality
• Provide quality status and risk reporting to program leadership.

Job Requirements:

Must have project management experience

• Good understanding of AML concepts (transaction monitoring, suspicious activity, KYC, etc.)
• Proven experience in effort estimation, test planning, and test strategy creation
• Hands-on experience with any test automation tools (like Selenium, Java-based frameworks preferred)
• Strong experience in software testing and QA leadership roles
• Experience working with large data sets and database validation (SQL)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and business teams
• Prior experience in banking or financial services domain
• Experience with AML tools/platforms (like Actimize, FICO, or similar)
• Exposure to cloud environments or CI/CD pipelines
