Overview

VTG is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, administration, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mission-critical SIGINT systems and supporting infrastructure.
This position requires hands-on experience with Linux administration, Kubernetes, containerization, cluster orchestration, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps, along with strong networking knowledge. The engineer will support systems throughout their lifecycle, including prototypes, development builds, operational test systems, test rigs, and laboratory environments.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, making this an exceptional opportunity to join a mission-critical team supporting national security initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Perform system administration, installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, testing, and integration of VLF/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection, and geolocation systems and software.
  • Support prototypes, development builds, operational-testing units, test rigs, and laboratory-environment systems.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Support software and system deployments across Linux, containerized, cloud, and DevSecOps environments.
  • Deploy, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Support cluster orchestration and associated infrastructure.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical and engineering support for complex system, infrastructure, and operational issues.
  • Diagnose system failures and performance degradation and restore systems and equipment to full operational capability.
  • Provide 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system discrepancies.
  • Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and optimize SIGINT systems with enterprise infrastructure, services, and databases.
  • Perform system testing and integration to validate operational performance and functionality.
  • Support system installations, maintenance activities, upgrades, and troubleshooting at customer locations.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute technical documentation, operating procedures, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
  • Assist Government engineers with developing, updating, and maintaining system product-line standards and associated databases.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operational teams to resolve complex system integration and performance issues.

Do you have what it takes?

  • TS/SCI with Poly required
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
    • Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
    • A Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two years of required experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with:
    • Software and system deployments
    • Linux system administration
    • Containerization
    • Cloud deployments
    • DevSecOps
  • Recent experience, within the last 3 years, with:
    • Kubernetes
    • Cluster orchestration
    • Containerization
  • Experience supporting complex systems through installation, configuration, testing, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to provide 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system issues.
  • Willingness to travel for information-system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Polygraph date must be within the last 7 years.
  • Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
  • Active CCNA certification.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $100K - $160K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
