Job Summary:
Responsible for protecting an organization's systems, networks, applications, and data from cybersecurity threats. The role involves monitoring security activities, identifying potential vulnerabilities, investigating incidents, and implementing security measures to reduce cyber risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor networks, systems, and security alerts for suspicious or unauthorized activities.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including phishing, malware, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and identify potential security weaknesses.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Review system and security logs to detect unusual activity or potential threats.
• Support endpoint, network, cloud, and application security initiatives.
• Perform basic security testing and assist with remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and resolutions.
• Assist with user access management, authentication, and security permissions.
• Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices, phishing awareness, password security, and data protection.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve security-related issues.
• Prepare security reports and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), or similar certifications are an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity labs, security monitoring, or incident response is a plus.
