Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on software development experience to join our engineering team in Fort Washington, PA.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C++, Object-Oriented Programming, multithreaded programming, and software design methodologies. This role involves developing, implementing, and testing software solutions while supporting advanced packaging equipment demonstrations, qualification, and customer buyoff activities.

Candidates should be technically strong, results-driven, and comfortable collaborating with internal engineering teams and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and co-specify requirements for new and existing software features.
• Design, develop, and code software applications using C++ and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Implement, debug, and test developed software code.
• Apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Object-Oriented Design methodologies.
• Develop and maintain multithreaded software applications.
• Utilize appropriate software design patterns to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Support advanced packaging equipment demonstrations, qualification, and buyoff activities.
• Provide technical support at in-house facilities and international customer locations as required.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and share technical knowledge and ideas.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to improve software development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
• Extensive experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
• Hands-on experience with multithreaded programming.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with software design patterns.
• Experience working with Standard Template Library (STL).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with COM/DCOM.
• Hands-on experience with BOOST libraries or equivalent C++ template libraries.
• Experience with Tcl/Tk.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Experience supporting industrial automation or advanced packaging equipment.
• Strong English communication skills.
• German language proficiency is highly preferred.
