Data Architect Healthcare Remote

Vega Consulting Solutions is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Architect for a direct client located in Reston, VA. This is a 100% remote-based, contract-to-hire opportunity, requiring candidates to support East Coast hours. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare payor systems, with a focus on claims, pharmacy, provider services, and member services. This role involves quarterly travel to Reston.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture solutions for healthcare payor systems, focusing on claims, pharmacy, provider services, and member services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop high-quality solutions that meet project objectives.
• Lead architecture initiatives and manage cross-domain architecture solutions and impacts.
• Coach, delegate, and develop team members to ensure project objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Utilize Mulesoft and Snowflake for data integration and management.
• Provide expertise in domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
• Travel to Reston once every quarter for in-person meetings and collaboration.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the architecture domain, leading architecture initiatives.
• Extensive experience in healthcare payor systems, including claims, member services, provider, and pharmacy.
• Proficient in Mulesoft and Snowflake.
• Strong ability to motivate and influence others to meet project objectives.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, relationship management, analytical, communication (written and verbal), and collaboration skills.

• Experience with FHIR and previous experience in a clinical and/or financial domain.
• Expertise with domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
