Lead the Operational Partnerships that Drive Our Business Forward Are you energized by building high-impact relationships, solving complex operational challenges, and leading seamless onboarding experiences? American National is looking for a strategic, client-focused Operations Relationship Executive to serve as the primary connection point between our organization and key distribution partners, including banks, broker dealers, and third-party marketing organizations.
This is a front-facing, high-visibility role where you'll own operational onboarding, elevate partner experience, and influence key technology and process improvements that enhance how we do business.
What You'll Do Be the Operational Point Person - Lead onboarding efforts for new banks, broker dealers, and marketing organizations, assessing technology needs, running planning meetings, and coordinating across internal teams.
- Serve as the main operations contact for assigned banks, broker dealers, wholesalers, and internal partners.
Strengthen & Streamline Partnerships - Manage all selling agreements, updates, and commission changes with precision and timeliness.
- Partner with IT and Sales to strengthen our digital capabilities (DTCC, FireLight, Affirm, and other platforms).
- Support testing and rollout of new tools and enhancements to keep American National competitive and efficient.
Solve Problems with Purpose - Research, resolve, and track system platform issues that impact sales or partner relationships.
- Connect with the right internal stakeholders to drive issue resolution and process improvements.
- Recommend solutions, gain buy-in, and negotiate final decisions with involved teams.
Ensure Clear Communication & Strong Documentation - Maintain detailed records of issues, stakeholders, resolutions, and follow-ups.
- Communicate solutions and updates to partners within required timelines.
- Evaluate partner initiatives and assess their impact on American National systems and workflows.
Occasional Travel - Visit partner firms and attend company or industry meetings on an as-needed basis.
What You Bring Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and strong technology aptitude
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present to senior leaders and external partners
- Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience writing reports, procedures, and business correspondence
- Analytical skills to interpret data, define problems, and develop conclusions
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in IT, business administration, or related field
- 15+ years of operations/technology experience in the insurance industry
- 8+ years in annuity sales, relationship management, or annuity operations
- 3-5 years supporting full-service brokerage or bank broker dealers
- Project management expertise and strong prioritization skills
