Senior Java / Mainframe Application Developer – MBI Clearance mandatory (Remote) - USC
We are seeking a Senior Java / Mainframe Application Developer to support enterprise mission-critical systems involving modernization and integration of Java microservices with IBM mainframe environments.
The role involves design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of enterprise applications.
Develop and maintain applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL, and JEE technologies.
Support IBM mainframe applications including ALC, COBOL, JCL, and batch workload processing in z/OS environments.
Integrate legacy mainframe systems with distributed Java platforms and service-based frameworks.
Perform unit, integration, and regression testing using Agile and Test-Driven Development methodologies.
Troubleshoot production issues, support incident resolution, and optimize application performance.
Work with tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Docker, REST/SOAP APIs, JMS/Kafka, and configuration management systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical leadership in Agile environments.
Candidates must have 5+ years of Java development experience and strong mainframe experience with COBOL, ALC, and JCL.
