Quality Assurance Analyst

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated QA Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting large-scale healthcare IT systems. This position will focus on Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance (UA) testing for critical state Medicaid systems, including MMIS, MEDS, MMRS, and RMMIS. Candidates will work collaboratively with project teams, external healthcare providers, and trading partners to ensure accurate implementation of federally and state-mandated changes.

Scope of the Project:

• Perform QA and UA testing of software coding changes to Medicaid systems.
• Collaborate with users and technical teams to test, analyze, and validate software updates.
• Interface with other agencies and internal subsystems to ensure accurate data exchange and system performance.
• Support business, process, and technical documentation efforts as needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Create, execute, and document test scenarios for coding changes.
• Analyze results and resolve discrepancies between actual and expected outcomes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end-users and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both written and oral forms.
• Collaborate with internal staff, consultants, and project team members to maintain high-quality standards.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of Mainframe experience
• 4+ years of COBOL experience
• 4+ years of JCL experience
• 4+ years creating and executing test scenarios
• 4+ years in healthcare claims processing

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Medicaid systems
• Familiarity with Serena Changeman
• Experience with SQL
• Technical documentation skills
• Experience with CA-ADS
