Summary

Job Title: Construction Specialist II
Job at a Glance: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Specialist to manage and coordinate utility and municipal permitting processes for infrastructure builds. This role is critical to ensuring projects move forward on schedule by proactively managing high-volume permit applications and maintaining clear communication with internal project teams and external agencies.
Location: 1250 Haddonfield-Berlin Road Cherry Hill Township New Jersey 08034
Work Schedule: 4x onsite, M-F, 8-4:30pm EST
Pay Rate: $35/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Duration of Contract: Long-term contract with extension/conversion possibility
Responsibilities:

Manage and track 100–200 active permit applications at a time for assigned builds
Prepare, submit, and monitor pole, township, county, and state permit applications
Follow each permit through the full approval lifecycle, ensuring timely progression through all required steps
Proactively follow up with agencies and utilities to prevent delays
Provide regular status updates and reporting to the Project Manager
Maintain accurate tracking documentation using Excel, Smartsheet, and P2
Ensure all documentation, payments, and compliance requirements are completed correctly

Occasionally visit field locations to verify pole replacements or deliver required payments to townships or agencies

Required Skills:

Experience managing telecom pole permits and municipal/state/county permitting processes
Strong organizational and time management skills
