Summary
Commercial Logistics BI Analyst
Houston, TX | Onsite | 12+ month contract
iSphere is looking for a Commercial Logistics BI Analyst who understands that logistics data gets messy fast once rail, trucking, SAP, TMS platforms, and real-world operations all start colliding together.
This role sits in the middle of transportation operations, systems integration, analytics, and process improvement. The team needs somebody who can look at operational data, trace issues across systems, understand how information is flowing between platforms, and help improve both the process and the visibility around it.
The ideal person here has worked around rail logistics, TMS platforms, SAP environments, and enough operational chaos to know that “the numbers don’t match” is usually where the day starts.
The work includes supporting SAP and TMS integrations, troubleshooting data and workflow issues, analyzing logistics performance, supporting process improvements, and helping drive better visibility across transportation operations.
What matters most for this role:
• Experience with transportation management systems and ERP integrations
• SAP experience, ideally in logistics or transportation environments
• Rail logistics experience is a huge plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with large operational datasets and process flows
• Ability to document business processes, workflows, and system interactions
• Comfortable working across business and technical teams
Experience with Intellitrans, TransMetric, SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, SharePoint, freight optimization, shipment tracking, or truck and rail logistics operations is all highly valuable here.
The team would especially love somebody who has helped stand up or integrate a new TMS platform with SAP before. Someone who understands how data moves between systems and knows where things usually break once operations starts depending on it.
This role has a pretty independent working style. There’s collaboration, but nobody’s looking to micromanage somebody through every issue. They want someone who can investigate problems, connect dots, communicate clearly, and help improve the operation instead of just reporting on it after the fact.
