Job Description Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Manager with deep expertise in AI-driven testing and Quality Engineering transformation to lead and modernize enterprise QA initiatives. This role will be responsible for defining automation strategy, implementing intelligent testing solutions, and leading high-performing QA teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software across customer-facing and enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong automation leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and practical experience leveraging AI/ML and Generative AI technologies to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and release velocity.

Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute enterprise-wide test automation strategy and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and manage QA Automation Engineers across multiple projects and delivery teams.
• Drive adoption of Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing methodologies.
• Establish automation standards, best practices, and governance models.
• Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and overall software quality.

AI-Driven Testing & Innovation

• Implement AI-powered testing solutions to enhance test effectiveness and reduce maintenance efforts.
• Utilize AI/ML capabilities for:
  • Self-healing test automation
  • Intelligent test generation
  • Test case prioritization and optimization
  • Defect prediction and risk analysis
  • Visual validation and anomaly detection
• Leverage Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for:
  • Automated test script generation
  • Test data creation
  • Test case design and documentation
  • QA productivity improvements

Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for:
  • UI Testing
  • API Testing
  • Backend/System Testing
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve framework reliability, maintainability, and execution performance.
• Support continuous testing practices within Agile and DevOps environments.

Quality Engineering & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and DevOps teams.
• Define quality metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Ensure comprehensive testing coverage across:
  • Web Applications
  • Mobile Applications
  • APIs and Microservices
• Drive continuous quality improvements throughout the SDLC.

Stakeholder Management

• Provide regular updates on quality status, testing progress, and release readiness.
• Identify quality risks and mitigation strategies.
• Align automation and quality initiatives with business objectives and delivery goals.
• Influence leadership decisions through data-driven insights and reporting.

Required Qualifications Core QA & Automation Expertise

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation.
• 3+ years of experience leading QA Automation teams.
• Hands-on expertise with automation tools including:
  • Selenium
  • Cypress
  • Playwright
• Experience with API testing tools:
  • Postman
  • Rest Assured
• Strong programming experience in:
  • Java
  • Python
  • JavaScript

AI-Driven Testing (Required)

• Experience implementing AI-powered testing platforms such as:
  • Applitools
  • Mabl
  • Functionize
  • Test.ai
• Knowledge of:
  • Self-healing automation frameworks
  • Machine Learning-based test optimization
  • Predictive analytics for testing
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot for QA automation and productivity enhancement.

DevOps & Cloud

• Experience with CI/CD platforms:
  • Jenkins
  • GitHub Actions
  • Azure DevOps
• Exposure to cloud environments:
  • AWS
  • Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform
• Experience testing applications built on microservices architecture.

Leadership & Communication

• Proven experience managing QA teams of 5 15+ members.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience driving enterprise automation and QA transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Airline, Travel, Transportation, or other large-scale customer-facing enterprise environments.
• Exposure to performance, security, and observability testing practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Certifications in QA Automation, Cloud Technologies, AI/ML, or DevOps are a plus.
