Job Overview:
The candidate will work in the Command Center of a large, 24x7 multinational bank holding company where mainframe availability is mission-critical. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days a week in the office, with the ability to work remotely using virtual connectivity tools such as phone, chat, Teams, and Zoom. Extensive training will be provided, and strong general (soft) skills are essential. The role involves the judicious exercise of privileged mainframe access and strict adherence to security and operational policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor mainframe systems in a 24x7 Command Center environment.
  • Utilize virtual connectivity tools (phone, chat, Teams, Zoom) for remote work.
  • Adhere to security and operational policies while managing privileged mainframe access.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure mainframe availability and resolve issues.
  • Create and improve technical procedural documentation as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe and z/OS (preferred).
  • Familiarity with OS/390 Operations and JCL batch problem diagnostic skills.
  • Understanding of data transfer protocols such as NDM and FTP.
  • Agile training and previous financial firm experience are a plus.
  • Knowledge of OPC/TWS and Service-Now ticketing software.
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to digest security, cybersecurity, and policy training documents.
  • Proficiency in Windows interface and toolsets, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Bachelor's Degree and Level 2 experience in Mainframe Engineering.

Pay Range: $52 - $55
