Leidos' Defense Systems is seeking a talented
Entry Level Mechanical Engineer for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB). The CHGB is the Army's #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires and will counter and gain a lead on our adversaries' technological advances in this field, come join us in this exciting, cutting-edge field.
Primary Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain technical data package (TDP) artifacts such as engineering drawings and documentation.
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME standards.
- Support production by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Collaborate within integrated product teams to support drawing updates and production activities.
- Implement engineering solutions in coordination with the Responsible Engineer.
- Interpret engineering specifications and drawing structures to complete model and drawing modifications.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or Hypersonics.
- Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems.
- Experience creating engineering drawings using PTC Creo and Windchill.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles/tolerance stack-up analysis for parts and assemblies.
- Understanding of cost and schedule impacts associated with engineering deliverables.
- Experience supporting fast-paced or rapidly evolving development programs.

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
