Role Overview
The Program Manager Enterprise Applications will manage and oversee Tier-2 enterprise applications used for collaboration, AI productivity, and business operations. The role is responsible for ensuring these applications are governed, optimized, and operated effectively so engineering teams can focus on higher-priority core systems.
This position works closely with support engineers, security, procurement, legal teams, and external vendors to maintain application health, ensure security compliance, optimize costs, and align application roadmaps with business needs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, the ability to manage multiple platforms simultaneously, and the capability to make sound decisions in evolving environments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner for Tier-2 enterprise applications such as collaboration and productivity tools.
Manage the full application lifecycle, including onboarding, access management, adoption, updates, renewals, and retirement.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of applications including usage, cost, ownership, and risk visibility.
Translate business and security needs into system architecture designs, integrations, and data flow models.
Coordinate with L2/L3 support teams to establish operational procedures and escalation processes.
Act as the main point of contact for vendors, handling roadmap discussions, issue resolution, and partnership management.
Lead commercial activities, including contract renewals, negotiations, and purchase order management.
Monitor application cost vs. value and identify opportunities for consolidation or optimization.
Provide structured updates to stakeholders on application performance, risks, and progress.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS applications, collaboration platforms, and productivity tools.
Understanding of SSO, IAM, SaaS security models, and access governance.
Familiarity with APIs and system integrations within SaaS environments.
Ability to review and create system diagrams, data flows, and integration designs.
Experience as a Technical Program Manager, Application Owner, or Enterprise Systems Manager.
Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, systems, and workstreams simultaneously.
Strong skills in prioritization, dependency management, and stakeholder communication.
Experience leading vendor negotiations, renewals, and commercial discussions.
Ability to assess cost efficiency and operational value of enterprise tools.
