Job Title: Java Developer

Job Location: Alpharetta, GA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Design and develop middle layer services using Java for web based applications.
Work closely with cross functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations.
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications to meet business requirements.
Create and review architectural designs, technical specifications, and documentation.
Work with existing technology stack and contribute to next generation solutions.
Document technical designs, requirements, and testing strategies.
Gain understanding of business processes to deliver optimal technical solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends, compliance standards, and risk controls.
Mentor and support junior developers.

Requirements/Must Have:

Strong experience in software development and Java technologies.
Hands on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Experience with Java server technologies such as J2EE and servlets.
Experience with development tools such as Tomcat and Maven.
Experience in API and web services development using REST, SOAP, and JSON.
Strong knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns.
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or similar.
Understanding of service oriented architecture.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

Minimum 6 plus years of software development experience.
3 to 5 years of hands on experience in Java and related technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable backend services.
Collaborate with teams to deliver high quality software solutions.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Skills:

Java and Spring technologies.
API and web services development.
Database management and SQL.
Object oriented design and architecture.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Communication and teamwork.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience in financial services domain is preferred.
Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or Angular is preferred.
