Summary

We've partnered with a high-growth technology company building purpose-built blockchain infrastructure for financial applications. The firm develops interoperable Web3 systems and decentralized finance products that power trading, derivatives, and cross-chain liquidity across digital asset markets.

They are hiring a Quantitative Researcher to join a New York-based quantitative research team. The role focuses on analyzing crypto market structure and developing systematic trading strategies within decentralized environments. This position is well-suited to someone experienced working with real-time data and algorithmic trading models.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze market microstructure and on-chain data to identify inefficiencies
  2. Develop statistical and machine learning models for trading strategies
  3. Design and implement market-making, arbitrage, and systematic strategies
  4. Build and maintain research pipelines and optimization tools
  5. Develop and run backtesting frameworks
  6. Contribute to trading infrastructure including order management and connectivity
  7. Build scalable data pipelines and research environments
  8. Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability
  9. Implement risk monitoring and controls
  10. Conduct post-trade analysis including slippage and market impact
  11. Create dashboards and reporting tools
  12. Run simulations to evaluate execution and liquidity


Requirements
  1. M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field
  2. 3-5 years of experience in quantitative research or development
  3. Experience in high-frequency or low-latency environments
  4. Strong background in statistics, probability, and time-series analysis
  5. Advanced Python skills
  6. Experience with C++ or Rust
  7. Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  8. Experience with backtesting and strategy development
  9. Ability to work with large datasets and validate results
  10. Understanding of financial markets and risk management


Preferred
  1. Experience with machine learning or distributed systems
  2. Familiarity with Linux environments
  3. Exposure to crypto markets or blockchain data
  4. Experience with real-time trading systems and APIs
  5. Understanding of blockchain or smart contracts
  6. Background in fintech or trading firms
  7. Relevant certifications or published research
