Infrastructure Project Manager Healthcare IT

IDR is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to support a healthcare organization s transition into two separate buildings before year-end. This role will coordinate infrastructure readiness, installation vendors, and move activities. Ideal candidates have led a similar physical IT relocation, facility opening, or building expansion.

*This role will require onsite work in Austin, TX on a hybrid basis*

Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and execution of the infrastructure move, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.

• Coordinate networking, structured cabling, telecom, AV, and physical security system readiness.

• Partner with facilities, construction teams, technical resources, clinical stakeholders, and vendors to meet occupancy and move deadlines.

• Manage cutover planning, readiness testing, and post-move support to minimize operational disruption.

• Maintain project documentation and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT project delivery experience, including construction coordination for infrastructure upgrades.

• Experience leading a physical IT relocation, new facility opening, or comparable building transition.

• 2+ years of healthcare IT project experience, including familiarity with building codes, infection control standards, and clinical space design.

• Working knowledge of networking, structured cabling, and building technology systems such as access control and CCTV.

• 4+ years of experience applying PMI practices and Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.

• PMP, CAPM, or PMI-ACP certification required.

• Strong stakeholder communication, scheduling, and resource coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing vendors, contracts, AV installations, and cabling projects.

• Experience with ServiceNow SPM/PPM, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.

• Familiarity with DAS and MOCN cabling requirements.

• ITIL Foundation, CSM, or CPHIMS certification.
