Senior Application Product Owner (Salesforce & Agile)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Product Owner to lead the stabilization and expansion of a critical, custom-coded Salesforce platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring that the product vision aligns with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a proven track record of managing complex product backlogs for large-scale licensing and inventory tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and maintain the long-term product vision, roadmap, and release plans, ensuring alignment with business needs and customer requirements.
- Backlog Management: Own, prioritize, and groom the product backlog. Translate high-level business processes into detailed epics, features, and user stories within Azure DevOps.
- Agile Leadership: Serve as the Scrum Master for the development team, facilitating daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives to remove barriers and ensure iterative progress.
- Requirements Elicitation: Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business rules, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Quality Assurance: Define acceptance criteria for features and assist in the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and bug tracking.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the bridge between technical staff and program leaders to optimize business processes prior to automation.
- Documentation: Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and ensure all project artifacts are archived in the designated repository.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on an Agile/Scrum team.
- Proficiency in writing clear, complete user stories and defining rigorous acceptance criteria.
- Experience managing projects within Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate group meetings, draft professional documentation, and present clear status updates to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce (specifically custom-coded environments).
- Experience with release management tools (e.g., Copado) and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Testim).
- Industry knowledge in licensing, inventory tracking, regulation, or the cannabis regulatory industry.
- Familiarity with public sector IT environments and PMI s PMBOK standards.
