Senior QA Engineer

Role: Senior QA Manual + Automation Engineer (50/50)
Duration: 6 months contract + possible extension
Location: Mesa, AZ-- Hybrid (2 days onsite – Monday & Wednesday mandatory)--Need LOCAL candidate
 

This is a contract opportunity for an experienced QA professional who can contribute across both manual and automation testing in an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality delivery of enterprise-grade web applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design detailed test cases, test plans, and test procedures
• Perform manual and automated testing for new and existing applications
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, UI, API, and performance testing
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts
• Identify, analyze, and report defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and iterative release cycles
• Collaborate with BAs, developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards
• Maintain test documentation, metrics, and reporting dashboards
• Analyze automation failures and update scripts as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of QA experience in web-based applications
• Strong experience testing .NET applications, Web APIs, and Windows Services
• Hands-on experience in UI and API testing
• Strong automation experience using Selenium WebDriver (C#) and/or Playwright
• Experience with Azure DevOps / TFS
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with version control and defect tracking tools
• Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Technical Skills

• C# programming for automation frameworks
• Experience in Windows-based environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps integrations
• Exposure to performance testing of services
• Strong understanding of .NET ecosystem

Interview Process

• Virtual technical screening (1 hour)
• In-person interview in Mesa, AZ (mandatory for shortlisted candidates)
• Final round (if required)
