Senior Power Platform Developer (AI & Automation Focus)

Role Overview We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Power Platform Developer (Contractor) to architect and scale enterprise-grade solutions at the intersection of traditional automation and Generative AI. This is a role for a proven expert with 5+ years of deep Power Platform experience who thrives in large-scale, governed environments.

You will lead the implementation of secure, AI-enabled applications, with a heavy emphasis on building sophisticated AI Agents via Copilot Studio and integrating them into complex enterprise data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic AI & Intelligent Automation

• AI Agent Engineering: Design and deploy advanced AI Agents using Copilot Studio, leveraging prompt engineering, orchestration logic, and grounding strategies to ensure explainable, secure outcomes.

• Intelligent Workflows: Integrate AI into business processes for natural language interfaces, automated decision support, and conversational automation over enterprise data.

• Scale & Governance: Implement AI-enabled solutions while maintaining strict cost controls, performance benchmarks, and compliance standards.

Enterprise Solution Architecture

• Full-Stack Development: Architect and maintain mission-critical solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.

• Advanced Integration: Connect Power Platform ecosystems with Azure Services, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, SQL, and REST APIs.

• Robust Logic: Build complex workflows featuring advanced error handling, parallel execution, and custom connectors.

Governance, ALM & Technical Leadership

• Modern DevOps: Drive ALM best practices, including solution layering, environment strategy, and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.

• Technical Advisory: Act as the technical authority for the Center of Excellence (CoE), performing code reviews and evaluating new AI features for enterprise adoption.

• Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor and optimize platform capacity, automation reliability, and solution responsiveness.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional Microsoft Power Platform development in an enterprise setting.

• AI Expertise: Documented success building and deploying AI Agents via Copilot Studio or equivalent conversational AI frameworks.

• Data Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Dataverse (complex modeling, RLS, and performance tuning).

• Technical Breadth: Deep understanding of AI integration patterns, prompt engineering, and the broader Azure ecosystem.

• Lifecycle Management: Mastery of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and enterprise security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Context: Experience in Refining, Oil & Gas, Energy, or downstream operations (specifically handling maintenance, reliability, or safety data).

• Advanced AI: Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or custom LLM integrations.

• Certifications: Microsoft certifications such as PL-600 (Architect), PL-400 (Developer), or AI-102 (Azure AI Associate).

• Data Modernization: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Synapse.
