Performance Engineer (MDM Focus)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to design, develop, execute, and analyze performance testing strategies for enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platforms. This role is critical in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and optimal performance of MDM systems that handle large volumes of data across multiple integration points.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in performance engineering, MDM systems, data integration pipelines, and enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive performance test strategies for MDM applications and services

• Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests

• Analyze system performance metrics and identify bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers

• Validate performance of data ingestion, data synchronization, data matching, and data governance workflows

• Collaborate with MDM architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues

• Create workload models simulating real-world data volumes and transaction patterns

• Monitor system behavior using APM and observability tools

• Provide performance tuning recommendations for applications, middleware, and databases

• Prepare detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders

• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines

• Ensure compliance with SLA and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)

Required Technical Skills

Performance Testing Tools

• JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, or similar tools

• Experience designing and executing distributed load tests

MDM & Data Systems (Expert-Level Experience Required)

• Hands-on experience with enterprise MDM platforms such as:

  • Informatica MDM

  • STIBO

  • Reltio

  • IBM InfoSphere MDM

• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality workflows

• Experience testing ETL processes and data integration pipelines

Database & Query Optimization

• Strong SQL performance tuning expertise

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

• Ability to analyze execution plans and optimize queries

Monitoring & Observability

• Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments

• Understanding of microservices and API performance testing

• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering or performance testing

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise data or MDM projects

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
