We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our 1st shift team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position and offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and performance of our sophisticated manufacturing machinery and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, performing scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and troubleshooting various systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical. This role requires a deep understanding of technical aspects, a keen eye for detail, and a problem-solving mindset.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the life of equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems promptly and efficiently.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Test the functionality of equipment and machinery after repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair work done, including the cause of the problem, the parts used, and the time taken.
• Collaborate with the team to prioritize and manage maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed within the set timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the production team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in working with motors, pumps, and mechanical repairs.
• Excellent knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with 240/480 voltage systems.
• Previous experience as a Machine Maintenance Tech or Mechanical Maintenance Technician is a plus.
• Strong understanding and ability to adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in different positions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Business Administration or facility management will be an advantage.
• Valid certification in an appropriate field (e.g., HVAC, electrician, etc.) is preferred.
