Summary

job summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Practitioner to design, deploy, and manage advanced data security and automated access management solutions. Working within a modern data ecosystem, you will safeguard high-value data environments by implementing granular security policies and data classification models. This role offers the opportunity to drive cutting-edge "policy-as-code" frameworks and coordinate closely with cross-functional global delivery teams.

responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain BigID connectors and build automated data classifiers aligned with corporate sensitivity taxonomies.
  • Design, implement, and audit Immuta data access policies (RBAC, PBAC, and ABAC) across cloud data platforms.
  • Build and manage automated metadata and tag synchronization pipelines connecting BigID, Immuta, and enterprise data catalogs.
  • Integrate access control tools with enterprise identity management providers (Azure AD/SCIM) to enforce identity-driven security.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec, Data Platform, and compliance teams while providing technical guidance to global pod members.



qualifications:

3-4 years of experience in modern data governance, data privacy engineering, or platform security roles.


Hands-on technical expertise configuring policy management platforms (Immuta) and automated discovery systems (BigID).


Direct engineering experience implementing access rules across enterprise data systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud data lakes.


Experience generating delivery documentation such as architecture decisions, runbooks, and policy registers.
