Pay Rate: $80000.00/Year to $95000.00/Year

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical experience needed to assist in reviewing, updating, analyzing and modifying existing programming systems.
  • Perform program and script development in object-oriented languages
  • Identify and resolve sample inventory, case record form, phenotype, genotype and other errors
  • Encodes, tests, debugs and installs new programs using various programming languages.
  • Perform routine statistical analyses including computation of odds ratios, relative risks using multiple statistical packages such as SAS- Maintain Pedigree data in Progeny and other relevant software.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data basing infrastructure.
  • Develops and schedules data backups, security patches or upgrades, etc.
  • Generate, assign and track barcodes linking participants ' information across projects, centers and labs.
  • Documents all assignments and creates various reports as needed.
  • Receive and maintain physical files in compliance with privacy standards Writes and maintains program documentation.
  • Generate and run appropriate database queries needed for Quarterly Progress Reports.
  • Develop program to select unrelated individuals from pedigree data.
  • Generate analysis datasets as required
  • Documents programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Check genotyping errors for laboratory
  • Provides assistance with planning, building and maintaining applications to meet an end user's needs.
  • Provide support for development of methods in data science.
  • Work with staff on literature reviews of analytic methods that have been applied across a broad range of scientific fields in order to identify the most useful methods to be applied.
  • Keep informed of data privacy and record maintenance requirements
  • Complete data entry and provide training to data entry personnel
  • Troubleshoots any issues or problems and implements appropriate corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot scripts and programs to ensure successful use of said scripts and programs.
  • Maintain study documentation in accordance to regulatory policies
  • Provides guidance and problem resolution for users.
  • Work with staff on applying, extending and/or developing statistical methods to address problems identified by the staff of relevance to the project.
  • Inventory samples with client lab staff and generate electronic file.
  • Work with Client external storage personnel and field study site personnel to check data and report errors

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Sciences or a related discipline.
  • SAS Base Programmer Certification.
