Job Description:
Client, a growing player in the solar energy space, is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a background in Supply Chain and Logistics to join their Fremont, CA team. This role will drive cross-functional technical projects, working closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing/solar environment. This is an onsite role requiring local candidates who can be in-office Monday through Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for technical initiatives tied to supply chain and logistics operations (procurement, inventory, materials planning, vendor coordination, distribution)
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Manage stakeholder communication across engineering, operations, procurement, and executive teams
- Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative project delivery, and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate for hardware/manufacturing timelines
- Track and report project status, risks, issues, and dependencies using Jira
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as needed
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (material shortages, vendor delays, logistics bottlenecks)
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers on delivery timelines, quality, and cost
- Drive process improvements across supply chain and project execution workflows
- Prepare and present project status reports and dashboards to leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience
- Demonstrated background in Supply Chain and/or Logistics (manufacturing, hardware, energy, or related industry preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Jira for project tracking
- Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Fremont, CA, 4 days/week (Mon Thurs)
- Local candidates only (must be able to commute without relocation assistance)
- Available for immediate start
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CSM, or similar project management/Agile certification
- Experience in solar, renewable energy, or manufacturing sectors
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Experience managing vendor/supplier relationships in a hardware supply chain
