Senior Project Manager Infrastructure & IAM (Heavy Zscaler Focus)

Position Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent initiatives across Infrastructure, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on Zscaler implementation and expansion.
This role requires a hands-on, technically strong PM who can work directly with engineering teams (not just status reporting). The PM will partner closely with the Interim CISO, IAM leadership, and security engineers to drive execution of enterprise-wide security and infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1 Project & Program Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IAM and infrastructure security initiatives.
- Manage approximately 8 parallel technical workstreams.
- Coordinate across IAM, Network, Firewall, Cloud, Server, Storage, and Security teams.
- Provide weekly executive updates to the CISO.
- Ensure cross-team dependency management (e.g., Zscaler Firewall Cloud).
2 Zscaler & Security Focus (HIGH PRIORITY)
- Lead Zscaler deployment, expansion, or optimization initiatives.
- Drive implementation of secure access and zero-trust architecture initiatives.
- Manage security segmentation and hardening efforts.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise cybersecurity standards.
3 IAM & Infrastructure Initiatives
Oversee projects involving:
- Active Directory
- CyberArk
- SailPoint
- Identity verification tools (including biometric/facial authentication)
- VMware ESXi
- Backup & storage platforms
- Infrastructure hardening and segmentation
4 Governance & Execution
- Build detailed project plans (task-level, not high-level oversight).
- Track budgets and financial reporting.
- Utilize Clarity, Jira, and Microsoft project tools.
- Support change management and enterprise readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong recent experience leading Zscaler initiatives (this is critical).
- Hands-on experience managing IAM projects involving:
- CyberArk
- SailPoint
- Authentication / Identity modernization
- Deep exposure to enterprise infrastructure & cybersecurity programs.
- Experience working directly with engineers (firewall, IAM, cloud, server).
- Executive-level communication experience (CISO-facing).
- Strong financial tracking and reporting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with VDI, network segmentation, and infrastructure hardening.
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture.
- PMP, CISSP, or related certifications
