Summary

Job Position: OCI Engineer
Location: Malvern, PA (onsite day 1 for hybrid model)

Job Description:

This role requires a high-level OCI Infrastructure Engineer to manage, secure, and scale Oracle Cloud environments for a financial services firm. The position balances daily production support with a major architectural initiative: building a secondary region from scratch to meet strict disaster recovery (DR) and security mandates.

Core Responsibilities:

OCI Architecture & Engineering: Design and maintain complex architectures on OCI (IaaS/PaaS). This includes managing Compute, Storage, Databases, Load Balancers, and IDCS/IAM to ensure high availability and performance.
Networking & Connectivity: Establish and troubleshoot internal and cross-cloud connectivity. You will manage IP/URL listing and design secure network paths, with a preference for OCI FastConnect expertise.
Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security controls, including encryption (at rest/transit), key management, and vulnerability assessments. You will enforce least privileged access via IAM policies and security lists.
Operational Excellence: Monitor system health (CPU, instance status) and manage alerts. You will build automated compliance frameworks and custom guardrails to maintain always-on reliability.
Automation & Scripting: Use Python or Shell scripting to enhance monitoring jobs and automated alerting workflows. You will also support SIEM log integration and (ideally) GitHub-integrated CI/CD pipelines.
