Terms of Employment W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extensions)
Candidates based in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, or West Virginia will be prioritized. Candidates based in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida, or Texas will be acceptable.
This position is remote. The selected candidate must be comfortable traveling to Reston, VA once every two-to-three months for PI Planning.
Overview & Responsibilities
Work with a leading organization on a high-impact ServiceNow implementation. We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead two distinct Scrum teams through the development and enhancement of Contact Center and FEP Hub applications. This is a "pivotal" role focused on driving internal delivery, managing capacity, and ensuring the team meets its commitments within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
You will
Lead and manage two separate Scrum teams, coordinating different developers, testers, and product owners across two project streams.
Facilitate and drive all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Play a lead role in PI (Program Increment) Planning every six iterations (approximately every 3 months).
Act as a "driver" for the team, maintaining a healthy respect for project schedule, scope, and capacity management.
Coordinate epic and story refinement as projects move from the discovery phase to active delivery.
Ensure the team remains focused on commitments and serve as the vocal internal lead for delivery progress.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
Mandatory SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification and practical experience working within the SAFe model.
Experience with ServiceNow delivery.
Proven experience managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
Strong communication skills with the ability to "drive" projects rather than just facilitating from the sidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with delivery of ServiceNow Customer Service Management/CSM modules).
Background in the Healthcare industry (familiarity with industry nomenclature).
Experience transitioning a project from discovery/MVP stage to full-scale delivery.
